View source for Mammon

A Biblical term used within [[The Family]] to negatively construe worldly gain such as money and other riches. While it is used in a similar context outside of The Family to caution against cupidity it took on additional significance within The Family in that members were encouraged or required to shun basic ambitions such as getting and holding a job.

The following [[Bible]] verse was used to reinforce The Family's positions against [[system job]]s.
