Babylon the Whore is a Biblical analogy to an apocalyptic nation described in the book of Revelation. David Berg believed and taught that this nation was the United States of America. According to Berg's interpretation, Babylon (America) would be attacked by the Antichrist in the latter part of the Great Tribulation, and the ensuing nuclear war would destroy the country within 1 hour.
Family members commonly abbreviate the reference to simply "the Whore" when referring to the United States.
