INTRODUCTION TO THE A-1300 INDEX        DFO 1681

       THE LORD HAS BROUGHT OUR FAMILY INTO SOMETHING THAT IS GLORIOUS & WONDERFUL! He has poured out such a stream of the Word that I am astonished, I'm amazed, I'm awed at how much God has given this generation!
       WHEN DID THE LORD EVER GIVE SO MUCH WORD BEFORE? When has any generation ever heard so much & had so much explained to them? When has any generation ever had so much revealed to them as we have had?--In the Spirit, with dreams, visions, revelations, prophecies & inspired teaching! I don't think any generation before us has ever had the Lord reveal so much!
       GOD IS BEING EXTRA MERCIFUL TO THIS LAST GENERATION!--FOR THIS IS THE GENERATION UPON WHOM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH ARE COME!--The generation that's going to have to go through the Tribulation! So He's being especially good to you & giving you extra special preparation & such a flood of the Word of God as no generation has ever known!--Book-shelves of it!
       THE LORD HAS INSPIRED US TO WORK HARD ON THE LETTERS & WE'VE DONE OUR BEST TO TRY TO HELP YOU & feed you & encourage you & inspire you & give you fellowship with the rest of the Family through them, as well as with us & the Lord. So thank the Lord for the Word! He has given us an abundant Gold Mine of His Wonder Working Words! They have made our Family rich with the greatest riches in the World: The Words of God!
       THE ANSWER TO ALMOST EVERY QUESTION, PROBLEM OR NEED THAT ARISES IS ALREADY IN THE LORD'S LETTERS! Even the old Letters, remember, were written for a reason!--Why should we have to rewrite & repeat them over again? If you would just go back to them & refer to them & read them, I think you'd find most of them just as useful, meaningful, appropriate & timely today as when they were first published!--Just as fitting today for our present needs as they were then for yesterday's!
       BUT EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE THIS WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE, A VIRTUAL ENCYCLOPEDIA of Bible knowledge & spiritual knowledge & historical knowledge & prophetic knowledge in the MO Books themselves, there is one slight problem: The Letters are so strung-out & helter-skelter & scattered & miscellaneous, one great conglomeration of knowledge, that it is often very difficult to find the specific answer to the specific question or need that you have!

       TIME & AGAIN WHEN I'VE WANTED TO LOOK UP WHAT THE LORD HAS SAID ABOUT SOMETHING, I JUST GOT DISCOURAGED AT THE THOUGHT OF WADING THROUGH SO MANY BOOKS--or even through a whole bunch of separate Indexes! It is a real chore & a lot of hard work having to look through ten Volumes every time you want to find out about a certain subject or place or person or thing or event or what I've said about this or that!--It's just too big a job!
       SO WOULDN'T IT BE WONDERFUL TO HAVE ONE BIG INDEX COVERING ALL OF THE LORD'S LETTERS TELLING YOU WHERE TO FIND THE QUOTES YOU NEED? I think, frankly, that such an Index would be almost the most useful tool our Family could have! I was convinced from the very beginning, as far back as 1972 in London, that one of the most important things we needed was an Index to the Letters so that people could look up the word or the name or the subject or the thing they wanted to know about & make a thorough study of that subject just by finding the references in the Index.
       SO HERE IT IS!--THE INDEX TO MO LETTERS A-1300!--Probably the most unusual & different kind of Index anyone has ever made! I was praying desperately about it & considering the time & effort & manpower it would take to retype & reproofread the hundreds of thousands of numbers & references in order to make a completely synthesised Index of all the separate, individual Indexes we already have--a nerve-wracking proposition & a colossal project to say the least--when suddenly I got a picture of how to do it!
       THE ANSWER WAS SO SIMPLE & SO EASY: Simply put together the existing, already-typed, already-proofread, already-printed Indexes into one! Of course it may not be completely synthesised, but it was absolutely the simplest way to put it together, & now!--And Brother, we needed it last year!--We needed it ten years ago! So we hope you'll enjoy it & find it a real blessing & help!--Happy Indexing!

       HOW TO USE THE A-1300 INDEX

       THIS INDEX IS A TOPICAL GUIDE TO MO LETTERS A-1300. The topics are listed alphabetically & are followed by numerical references indicating where these topics are covered in the Letters.
       TO USE THE INDEX simply look up the topic you wish to read about. For example, you will find AFRICA under the A's, BIBLE under the B's, & Canada under the C's. After each topic you'll find a series of numerical references. The number of the specific MO Letter is listed first, followed by the paragraph number where the reference can be found. For example:
       Aaron--1284:194 = MO Letter No.1284, paragraph no.194.
Then take Letter No.1284, find paragraph no.194 & read the reference on Aaron.
       BECAUSE THIS INDEX IS ACTUALLY SEVEN SEPARATE INDEXES COMBINED INTO ONE, each letter of the alphabet has been divided into seven different numerical groupings. These seven divisions are listed here, showing the MO Letters each one covers:
       1. A-300;
       2. 301-400;
       3. 501-600;
       4. 601-700;
       5. 701-800;
       6. 801-900;
       7. 901-1300.
Each of these numerical MO Letter divisions has been clearly marked with a black box for easy reference. If, for example, you wanted to look up all the different ML passages on "AMERICA", you would start with the "AMERICA" topic listed in the "Letters A-300" division, then turn the page to the "Letters 301-400" division, then on to the "Letters 401-500" division, etc., progressively working your way through all seven numerical groupings, thus covering all of Letters A-1300.

       MAJOR TOPICS & MINOR TOPICS

Major Topics are typed in capital letters. For example:
       AFRICA
       AMERICA
       ARABS

Minor Topics are typed in lower case letters. For example:
       Aaron
       Abrahim
       Accidents and Injuries

       Many of the Major Topics have been subdivided to help you find the specific topics you're looking for more easily. For example, AMERICA, in the 901-1300 grouping, is subdivided as follows:
       AMERICA
         General References
         Economy
         Future
         Geography
         Governments and Politics
         History
         Judgement
         Ministry in
         People & Culture
         Spirit of

       All of the Major Topics & their subdivisions have been boxed in so you can more easily see where they begin & end, a useful feature for quickly locating the Major Topic you're studying when jumping from one Numerical Letter division to another. These boxes are also helpful, particularly on some of the very long Major Topics where there are entire columns of nothing but references, as you can easily find what alphabetical topic is being covered by looking directly above or below the boxed-in references.

       OTHER HELPFUL FEATURES

       AN ALPHABETICAL THUMB-INDEX, such as is found in many dictionaries, Bibles, etc., is provided for your convenience.
       TOPICAL/NUMERICAL PAGE IDs are located in the outside corner of the bottom of each page. On all left-hand pages, the page ID topic indicates the first topic covered on the page & the boxed-in number indicates which specific numerical division is covered. On the right-hand pages, the page ID topic indicates the last topic covered on that page & the boxed-in number indicates which specific numerical division is covered.
       A BLANK SPACE has been provided at the end of each major alphabetical division for any additional references which you may wish to add.
       NAMES OF PEOPLE are usually listed alphabetically under their last names. For example:
         DAVID, FATHER

       TITLES OF DREAMS, POETRY, VISIONS, PROPHECIES, BIBLE STUDIES, BIBLE PROPHECY, PARALLELS & PREDICTIONS OF THE FUTURE are listed alphabetically under their Major Topics by their title or their key words. For example:
       DREAMS AND INTERPRETATIONS
         General References
         Black Nightmare, The
         Christmas Eve Massacre
         Crash, The

       IN THE DIVISIONS COVERING LETTERS 500-1300, another helpful feature has been incorporated to help you locate the subjects you're looking for. For example, if you want to read about "Prayer Letters", simply look up the words Prayer Letters under the P's & you will find it listed as follows:
       Prayer Letters--See MAIL, Mail Ministry
Then turn to the Major Topic MAIL & find its subdivision Mail Ministry. Under this, you will find the further subdivision Prayer Letters, where you will find the numerical references for this subject.
