Light Club

From XFamily - Children of God

The Light Club was the name of a coffee house taken over by the early Children of God in the late 1960s. It was located on 116 Main Street in Huntington Beach, California.[1]

The club was open daily until 2:00 am and provided free food, a place to relax, a prayer room, and folk entertainment. There were also daily Bible studies (sometimes by David Berg himself) and the occasional bethrothals (wedding ceremonies).

The Family International claims the Light Club as one of the places their cult began.[2][3]
