Rotten apple

Rotten apple - a more vehement variant of the term bad apple that extends on the analogy and underscores the hegemony that the cult cultivated by establishing the need to excise dissenting belief from within The Family. This term was usually leveled at departing members (often post-departure) and vociferous critics.
