The Family claims the Holy Bible as the foundation for their beliefs. Revelations and prophecies received by the Family's leadership, however, may override non-fundamental doctrines contained in the Bible.
While members may use any english translation they choose, the King James Version is used and recommended by The Family's leadership.
In addition to the Old and New Testaments, members of the Family consider the teachings of David Brandt Berg, Karen Zerby and Steven Douglas Kelly to be the inspired word of God.
