***If he's given his own section heading on the Category:Testimony page, his pages are linked to under Testimony, and his articles are also linked to under the article about him, I agree the James Penn category is redundant. --Monger 16:46, 8 Mar 2005 (CST)

****Monger: The only (semi-)good reason I saw for keeping the James Penn category was so that a link to this category could be placed on the Main Page for easy access. Other than that, I have no problems with removing the category. --WalkerJ 18:01, 8 Mar 2005 (CST)

*****WalkerJ: I don't think a James Penn link necessarily should be on the home page (though, I dunno, that might be a minority position). We could always just link to :Category:Testimony#James Penn. --Monger 21:48, 8 Mar 2005 (CST)

  • WalkerJ: I did some categorization changes to the Articles by Former Members category (recursively as well). Most notably I put it under Testimony. I think my changes need peer review, as I am uncertain whether the categorization I proposed (a conflation of sorts between two overlapping cats) is sound. Please feel free to suggest or implement alternative categorization. --Craven de Kere 15:25, 8 Mar 2005 (CST)
    • Craven de Kere: I removed the sub-category "Articles by Former Members" and organized the layout of Testimony. Categorizing it this way may provide easier access to these articles for the time being. If the category eventually gets too full, we can add sub-categories. The only thing I'm not too happy about with this layout is that it makes the James Penn category redundant.
I will edit the James Penn articles and add links in the article text to the documents it references (i.e. Summit Jewels '93). --WalkerJ 15:55, 8 Mar 2005 (CST)
