Faith and Jonathan Berg with Muammar Qaddafi, "Guide of the First of September Great Revolution of the Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya", 1973.

Jonathan Emanuel Berg (US citizen, born January 9, 1949) is the youngest son of David Berg and Jane Miller. He was known as "Hosea David" or "Ho" in the Children of God. He was also known as "Jondy." He has also used the name John Lee[1]

Jonathan ran a farm, with a compound on the property, in Hac Sa, Coloane, Macau from 1978 to 1988. This was the same place where the Detention Teens were sent (e.g. Merry Berg).

Jonathan has had two wives: Lurana Nolind Berg (Esther David]) and Ruth. He had six children (five boys, one girl) with Esther. Two of Mr. Jonathan Berg's children live in San Antonio, Texas on a large farm paid for and owned by the cult.

He married his first wife, Lurana J. Nolind, on May 16, 1969 in El Paso County, Texas.[2]

According to a September 1974 report by the New York Attorney General's Charity Frauds Bureau, he was arrested in 1968 and 1969 and jumped bail:

Twenty-one (21) members of the "Teens for Christ" group were arrested for violation of California Penal Code 602.9 (interference with peaceful conduct or activities of a school) in December, 1968 and February, 1969. Twenty of the members including, Jonathan Berg and Paul Berg, sons of David Berg, jumped bail set at an aggregate of $34, 500 and arrest warrants were issued, but have not been executed. [Huntingdon, California Police Dept. Report dated May 21, 1973]
